Last Minute Student Flights

Air New Zealand are currently trialing last minute $39 standby flights for students at Otago and Waikato Universities and Polytechnics.

Students must arrive at the airport 90 minutes before their flight to purchase a ticket to anywhere in the country. They are then given a boarding pass if seat is available 30 minutes before the scheduled flight.

The trial runs from September 7 to October 4 and is an exercise to test demand in New Zealand for last minute flights.

Students, take your student ID to Dunedin or Hamilton airport and give it a go. Hopefully the trial proves popular and last minute flights become the norm!
