I travel around the country a lot for work and they pay for my flight, hotel and meals but I still like to find nice but less expensive accommidation because if I spend less than my allowed budget I get to keep the difference.
I like to book my flights at the last minute because it somtime's gets me a hugh discount but I wouldn't recommend anyone to try this method for important event's due to the risk of not getting a seat at all.
If you do your research on flight's statistics for certain times of the year you stand to save a small fortune. I ran across this post in my search and just wanted to help out by giving my two cent's.
Here's a link to one of my blogs titled <a href="http://hubpages.com/hub/Cheap-Flights-To-Nassau" rel="nofollow">Cheap Flights To Nassau</a>

If you are planning a trip make sure you use the travel meta-search site 1000travelsites.com to find the best prices on flights and hotels. They search pretty much every travel provider on the web in a matter of seconds. It has saved me a lot of money in the past.

Yes – I just booked my winter trip seconds ago!
