I’m wondering whether the price for Brisbane to Hamilton flight has gone up since this post?

This is great news for travelers from the Hamilton and surrounding area.
It has been a real pain since the international flights were discontinued.
Also good to see that they are offering one way fares as well.

Last time I visited NZ it seemed the Hamilton airport wasn’t handling International flights anymore. Has there been a change. Would be great as I have sons in Brisbane, and a sister in Te Kuiti, so Hamilton would be just perfect.

Is Pacific Blue similar to (I think it was) Jet Star, i.e. a discount “no baggage” carrier? When we in New Zealand last year we flew from Auckland to Christchurch on JetStar for $25 each, the cheapest 1.5 hour flight I’ve ever had. I wish we had a service like this in the US.

@Bruce – Isn’t that a similar type of service that South West offers? I’m not sure though if they have a cheaper rate for no baggage. It’s a good idea when you think of it, as baggage handling must be expensive, and eliminating it a great way to trim costs. Anything for cheaper flights!

I hope they would do the same for this year. I would really love to go to Sydney and I want to see koalas and kangaroos. How I wish I would be there soon.
